A great, concise alternative to using a different textbook. In our curriculum, we used Clinically Oriented Anatomy as a textbook for our anatomy studies, but soon my fellow classmates discovered this text we dubbed "Gilroy" and soon, due to the text's affordable pricetag and colorful, thorough diagrams, everyone downloadd this book and it has now become a staple in our curriculum.

If you are frustrated by other anatomy textbooks, do yourself a favor and pick up this gem of a text.

It will soon become your best friend if you are a medical student. I'm a medical student, and I really struggled with anatomy. This book is really great to point out big picture concepts and some common clinical high-yield topics. I don't necessarily recommend it instead of a textbook, because it doesn't go into as many details about the anatomy or the clinical aspects, but it's great if you're like me, and you just need a really simple explanation.

After reading this book, I finally understand the different types of nerves and the differences between the vetebra from one area of the spine to another. I also like that this book isn't too long. It's less overwhelming and has a good balance of pictures and text. The only thing that I would change is that I would color code each chapter to make things easier to find. If you're doing fine with anatomy, or are a diehard Netter's fan, then pass this one up. Been using this book for 3 months now.

I gotta say, it's a powerful resource, but you must combine with other soucers.

The best one I would recommend is using this book along Kapit's. Great combo.

This is a really great book which I bought at the suggestion of a classmate. I find that the drawings in this book much better portray the spatial relationships of the muscles and structures than my other books like Netter or Rohen's. In other words, the "3D" effect of the anatomy is better in this one.

The result is that it is much easier to approach the anatomy for the first time. The questions are decent; I prefer BRS anatomy for questions. There are good clinical correlates, but again I think BRS does a better job with those. Great book. site Edition Verified download. Really nice presentation of the information, i love the way the author made it easer to understand in my case remember some anatomy aspects.

This is really good for students and for specialist who wants a nice review. Baby moore? The basic terminology have been briefly and precisely described. The use of color photographs rather than anatomical drawings are life like.

The description of dissection procedure has been made simple and easy to understand by highlighting the salient features of the process of dissection and the things to be identified. The columns involving description of muscles, vessels and nerves individually makes this book like the body of textbook thus lessening their burden in their later efforts.

Clinical notes at the end of the chapter further enlighten the students in better understanding and analyzing and remembering the subject. Lastly I would like to congratulate the authors and publishers for bringing out such a made easy book which are rare to find.

Sindhura, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Adilabad Osteology part is good, especially the diagrams are fine and easy for the students. Head and Neck is dealt with line diagrams and it is easy for the students to follow. The muscles origin, insertion and action was given in table form, is again easy for the students, students generally not showing the interest in drawing the diagrams now a days.

With this approach they will be benefited.

Central nervous system is also explained in a nice way with beautiful diagrams, especially cerebellum and cerebrum is explained in detail. Other parts like upper limb and lower limb much details are given explaining the origin insertion of each muscle, their nerve supply and action is explained very nicely.

MCQs are added for each chapter is good and ready reference for the students which will help them in their oral examination Dr N. Pal, and S. Gangane is the best dissector book I have ever seen. Firstly, the images used by Thieme publishers is just mind-blowing, in fact only because of Thieme's wonderful images I downloadd the Atlas of Anatomy by Anne M.

Secondly, Dr. VishramSingh's explanation is very good and I felt that explanation was coherent, simple and quick. I use this book on my daily basis, in fact this book is in our college's recommend books to download for first year medical students.

Overall it's an amazing book and if you have this book I would also recommend Thieme Atlas of anatomy by Anne M.This is really good for students and for specialist who wants a nice review. Are you sure you would like to remove these items from your wishlist?
